Hospice Grief Support
Processing and accepting this transition can take a toll on those in hospice and loved one who are offering support. Processing alone can make accepting the journey harder and cause more pain in your body due to your emotional state. If you are a caregiver making time for self, trying to stay focused and organized, spending time with family, working, sharing if you can caregiver responsibilities, preparing for grief and struggling to process your emotions so that you can accept and truly express your feelings can be difficult.
Whether you are the loved one transitioning or the caretaker it is important to remember that when our capacity is limited and we are not aware of it, it can manifest in many ways such as:
Despair, loneliness, feeling broken, unloved or emptiness.
Guilt, regret, anger, numbness, irritability or sadness.
Fatigue, emotionally eating, weight loss, overworking and even insomnia
